Turai with Peanuts Powder

Ridge gourd / turai is naked as a jaybird and sliced up into huge chunks. they're then roasted in oil at the side of onion and spices and finished with peanut spice powder. Serve ridge gourd with peanut powdder over plain steamed rice or over roti. verify Peanut Spice Powder instruction. Makes: around two Servings of Ridge Gourd with Peanut Powder.

Ingredients:

Ridge Gourd one giant Onion one tiny Peanuts Powder two Tbsps inexperienced Chile one (optional) Turmeric Powder a Pinch Red flavourer a Pinch Salt to style

Talimpu:

Mustard Seeds one/4 tsp Cumin Seeds 1/4 tsp Urad decalitre 1/4 tsp Broken Red Chiles three Curry Leaves five Oil 1 Tbsp

Method of preparation:

Peel and finely chop the onion. gently scrape, wash and chop the ridge gourd into tiny chunks (around two Cups). take away stem, wash and slice the inexperienced chile.

Heat oil in an exceedingly pan, add all different talimpu ingredients so as. once mustard seeds begin noisy, add inexperienced chile (if using), onion, sliced ridge gourd and a pinch of salt. Fry for number of seconds and cook lined on low flame until ridge gourd turns soft. Stir in peanut spice powder, turmeric powder and cook lined for a moment and take away from heat. Stir in red flavourer and serve ridge gourd with peanut powder over plain steamed rice and small indefinite quantity of drawn butter. Notes: make certain ridge gourd is roasted totally before removing the pan from heat.

Suggestions: If ridge gourd isn't roasted well, place it back on heat and cook lined on low flame until done.
